Martini in 303...

I have a chance to buy 3 Martini Carbines for $1,800 ($600 each) chambered in .303 in Good shape (just a historic piece) dated before year 1900... (in other words 18XX, still have to double check years). Is this a good deal or should I tell the guy to get lost?

From what I've seen around, it's just the going rate. I'd expect to get a better deal when dropping that kind of money.
Depends on the condition - if they look very nice with great bores, it might be a good deal. If they are the usual chipped wood, frosty bores and grey metal, I'd want a better deal.

For that price I'd do a little research first. There are many variations of the Martini-Enfield. Some are worth money and some are not. Go to http://p223.ezboard.com/bbritishmilitariaforums. They have all the information you'll ever need and then some. If you buy them and want to part with one, PM me. They are nice little guns.

They used the short chambered Boxer-Henry point four five cartridge in Zulu, Colour Sargeant, and a bayonet, and don't you forget it.
