Martini Mk I

An old friend has a full length martini Mk I 1879. it is in fair- good cond., complete but needs some repairs at drop bolt area, and it's share of dings in stocks. What is the ball park value on these?

It seems like a late date for a MK1. Without pictures and a full description it is hard to give an accurate value. Ball park guess $350.

Rourkes Drift was in 79, so this would be near the cut off. Thanks for the input.

Mk. 1's should be dated 1873 or 1874. Without pics it is almost impossible to give a value but it definitely is more than $350.00 in my opinion..."if" it's a Mk.1! Mk. 1's which are complete, genuine, in excellent condition and untampered with usually go for $2,000.00 plus on some of the internet antique rifle sites. Certainly warrants more investigation. Much less $$$ if it's one of the Nepal cache rifles.
