martini variant? value

just looking for information on what this maybe and if somebody can ball park what they are worth. looks like a martini of some type, not sure of what kind of ammo was used in it. has what looks like a safety.

Martini sporting rifle and yes that is a safety.Cal probably 577/450 but there were other calibers it could be chambered for.Price would depend on if the safety works and the condition of the bore,the gun though does look like it is in nice condition.I like these guns if you ever decide to part with it let me know.

I am not the owner. a person on a FB group in BC has this one and is looking to sell it for her father. she was asking $550 but I thought that might be high, so looking for info and input.
she has just sent me more photos. it is stamped J. Braddel and son on the barrel. Henry rifling and Belfast.

there is a couple with full wood on the EE for $600. not exactly as this one but I wouldn't think this variant would command 1K?

That’s a 1000$ rifle all day long and if it were mine I’d have to seriously think about it before letting it go at 1000$. The military ones you cannot compare this too. That sporter is far superior.

I agree with dakotamar. Typically a Military version will be worth more than a commercial version of the same rifle. Just look at the Swedish Mauser for one instance. I would put that at the 350.00 range.
I would much rather have a Military Martini Henry.

Maybe there is a small group of people looking for a commercial Martini Henry? But would they really pay 1,000.00?
I highly doubt it.
But I may be wrong? It would be interesting to see proof of one similar selling in that price range.
