Hi all, scored this MA36, it cleaned up OK. Bore is mirror bright all the way through, no frosting, grooves are bright too. The land edges aren't perfectly sharp in the leade but they are strong in in the leade and they're sharp edged all the rest of the way. Cleaning revealed a faint social insurance number. The police put light scratching on the lettering when verifying the piece a few years ago after an emergency. Can someone identify the protruding piece pinned on the end metal right side? I've given a fellow Nova Scotianer first dibs on the gun; he'll drive 3 hours for face to face. A question for those in the know; is this gun worth $450 all day long or do you consider that high or low?

I'll dissent here. Nice refurbs can be had for around $500 all day long at dealers and on the EE. Irunguns was dreaming in technicolor at $800, no MAS36 is worth that. I've owned a few of these in much nicer un-refurbed condition than yours and never paid more than $300 for an issued example with matching numbers.

With an SSN engraved into it and that weird pattern carved into the forestock, it's a $250-300 gun AT BEST in my area (Ottawa) as a shooter.
