Mas-49

I found one in the old Access to Firearms newspaper, but that was a while ago. They appear on the EE from time to time.

I have been looking for a couple of years now. Any stock that comes into Canada gets extremely over priced, but people keep paying it so the dam price stays way up there. The MAS 49 and MAS 49-56 sell in the US for an average of $400.00 in super condition on the auction sites. If you are not in a hurry, register on the auction sites, find a FFL dealer in the states that is close to you and last step source a gun broker in the US also close to you and the FFL dealer. If you buy a gun on the auction sites it must be shipped to the FFL dealer who will hold it for the broker. The broker does all the legal paperwork, export permits and all that stuff and then you can import into Canada. Canada wants you to verify the guns info (might have changed with the registry going under). Have all your paperwork from your broker and claim gun at border. All this info was gathered by me by talking to the Auction sites and the brokers and the Canadian goverment departments in charge of firearms. It will take longer to get the guns but you will save a ton of money, about half, over the ones offered for sale in Canada, as most of them I found have been imported from the US by Canadian buyers. Hope this helps, the above was current as of Sept. 2012, might have changed by now, I don't know.
