Masada at 1000 rds

I cleared 900 rounds yesterday with mine, same situation; o malfunctions, thought I did swab out the barrel at 500 rounds. Trigger has dropped almost half a pound pull weight. VERY impressed with the trigger on this gun. It’s better than the two Glocks I have with a couple hundred bucks in each for triggers. It’s been an impressive gun so far; quick shooting, excellent build quality. Being optics ready is a plus; the stock irons suck.

Rich, the 6 I handled suggest to me there is inconsistencies in the triggers of these guns. The first one I dry fired had some grittiness in the take up. The second felt a bit undecided on the break. Third...different feel again. I’m not talking night and day differences; they were all quite subtle. I’m a bit fussy about triggers...it’s usually the first thing I try. The copy I got has a very smooth take up, no stacking & a very crisp break. Trigger weight was a hair under 5 lbs. and although I haven’t measured it, my eyeball micrometer says it’s a shorter reset than any of my Glocks.
I hit 1200 rounds through it this afternoon. The trigger has smoothed out really nicely, and dropped over a half pound pull weight. I pulled it apart to do a thorough cleaning on it at 900 rounds, including pulling the chassis. My intent had been to polish it, but there just wasn’t a lot of polishing needed. I did put a good shine on the feed ramp though. Even after polishing what I could, and a very thorough cleaning and re-lube, it didn’t function any different, objectively, which tells me it was pretty darned good to start with.
I found what looks to be a good holster for it, semi custom since I’ve got a red dot mounted already and waiting for a light. It should be here next week, and I can get down to some serious range time with it

If any of you are looking for a high quality holster for your Masada, I may have found it. The range I belong to allows holsters to properly trained shooters. Since I am able to use one, I prefer to have the best quality I can find; easy enough with common pistols, not so much with a new gun like the Masada. I’d called IWI about something else, and asked the rep if they had any recommendations. He immediately said “Dara Holsters in N. Carolina”
I looked into them; semi custom builds, lifetime no questions guarantee for under a hundred bucks. Made to order. I put in an order for r. Hand OWB with optics, open muzzle, low sweatguard 1 1/2in. Belt, zero cant, no drop. 2 days to make, 7 to get to Calgary, and it’s the best kydex holster I’ve ever seen. Torqued and loctited screws and retention screws, THICK kydex, polished edges, dimensions are cut perfectly. This is really high quality; I’ve probably got 30 holsters for different guns, a number that I’ve paid much more for, including several custom built holsters. The only one that comes close is a custom leather rig I had made a few years ago for three times the money.
The fit for the optics explains why they want to know not only if you HAVE an optic, they want to know WHICH optic. 1/8in gap all the way around the Vortex for holstering without scratching things up. Belt loops properly sized & adjustable by the user if you get a different belt.
I have rigs from most of the bigger name makers, and none are this quality. Highly recommend them if you’re in the market
