Luckily I was able to stumble upon a good recipe first time out. PRVI brass, PRVI 198 FMJBT bullet, Dominion LR primer and 40.0 gr of H4895. It's a very light load but was able to tuck 3 rounds in under an inch at 100M through my Yugo M48.

inspect your brass religiously. belt fed guns are VERY hard on brass.

I have blown a top cover on a 1919 with a case head separation.

These types of guns are also not cheap to fix :/

I know you want to get going on this but I recommend loading 30 or 40 or 50 rounds first to be sure you have the load you want, before you start a 20 hour production run.

pretty sure nork 308 is around 60 cents a round.

Only problem is the 308 conversion is around $1100 and you can reload a lot of 8mm for that!

Yeah I looked into the 308 conversion. I cant justify spending 1K on something I will shoot a couple times a year.
