Did anyone see what was on the auction site out east? Some pile of good .22s right from full match to cooeys! Id like a walther or two. Maybe a cil 190 or 5… drooling!

Yes, quite a collection. Quite a few converted no4s as well.
Hopefully it will do well for the estate.

Two Winchester model 52’s and about a half dozen Remington target master /matchmasters as well.

I suspect the No. 4s were converted to .22 using No. 7 barrels.

There are a couple no4s which marked correctly for authentic 22 trainers. I saw a 1944 in a case and a 1945 without, both marked as .22 on receiver, plus a Cno7 in the case. There are three more which are on British actions so id say you are right on them being later conversions.

The No. 4s converted to .22 are Lots 32, 35, 42 and 105.
I note that Lot 105 has a PH5C but no bolt, and is already at $700.
