Are you high? Have you ever seen an FAL?

It's clearly an AR18 style design. Upper and lower are clearly AR18 inspired.

As to availability, they can't be exported from the US because it is chambered in 5.56mm.

I don't know. If I unfocus my eyes and squint, it looks just like a FAL lol.

Jokes aside, it is an interesting idea, and if I recall correctly, I read somewhere that a local gentleman Armed man from Saskatchewan is/was working on a similar project. I'd rather spend my money locally if possible.

Yup, it is often done to get rifles here from the states.

Armedsask, you do know that the export ban on 5.56 rifles has been lifted for a while now right? Hence all the US made 5.56 ARs flooding the market right now (DD, S&W, Colt, etc.).

or .223 Wylde and you can use both safely

I don't think the .223/5.56 chamberings are a big deal anymore, I think most semi-auto makers chamber them to safely work with both anyways. But doing them in .223 Wylde would be a perfect workaround. You can pin a stock easy enough too, and it looks like it comes from the factory with a muzzle brake so as long as it's somewhat permanent that's okay too.

Honestly I think this little guy has a decent chance of being non restricted as long as the barrel is long enough for us.

I do think it looks more like a 180 so it is definitely possibly that they could be non-restricted with the right barrel length... one of the importers should give them a call...

While this is a post from 2012, we haven't heard anything from Blueline who were the ones to submit a sample for classification. It should be done any day now, since it's been two years.

I emailed blue line back in October and they said they aren't expecting it till mid 2015

Well all know how long the RCMP take to classify firearms!

I so badly want an AR or at least an AR look alike but the XCR is just to damn much. If that thing is non-restricted and is less than say... $1500, Id get one of those right away.

If you're willing to drop 1500 right away, Why not just save for a few months an buy an xcr or something nicer?
