Hi all

Hope this isn't something that has been covered before. I just don't have time to go through all the threads...sorry.

I'm looking to put a target/varmint barrel on my savage 110 action 300 Win Mag. I want to order it without going through too many middlemen and try to install it myself. I would prefer to buy Canadian, but would consider one from any maker as long as the price wasn't too high and getting it into the country isn't too much of a hassel.

Suggestions?

Thanks

Unless you buy some tools as well, trying to install it is all you will do.

Are you going to thread and chamber it or buy a pre chambered and threaded barrel?

If the latter you will still need tools, the cost of which would be considerably more than a gunsmith would charge to install a finished barrel.

.

I need a barrel chambered in 300 win mag and threaded as I won't be getting the tools to tackle that for a while if ever.

I'm still not sure if I should be spending the money for a good tube with the 110 receiver.

:( I never did get to the range to see if my custom stock work :)D added some ballist :D) helps in recoil reduction, but work calls and I must answer.
