Match Chamber Worth it for the Potential Accuracy Gain?

Just thinking out loud here.... Been putting together the option list for a DAR-22 and would like to wring the most out of it and even make an attempt at the 50yd challenge but truly most of it will be cans, golf balls and some unlucky grouse. That all said do you all think the match chamber truly gives a noticeable true accuracy edge with a semi vs not being able to run some types of ammo?

I have 10/22's and a Gevarm already so I was trying to step it up a notch with this one but if real world experiences don't warrant it with this platform than I will gladly stay with the sporter chamber.

A match chamber should improve Accuracy but it will likely be ammo dependent. If the 22 likes the ammo. That said we read a lot of stories on here that They have caused lots of issues with run of the mill 22 ammo FTE, Fail to chamber etc. As match chambers are usually cut to minimum specs. You might find that only one or two 22 cartridges will chamber of the more expensive kind. IR Match ammo.
 
I don't think any barrel manufacturers build 10/22 barrels with match chambers. Match cambers are typically too tight to allow proper cycling in a semi auto .22. For maximum accuracy most use a Bentz chamber or similar. My personal favourite for a 10/22 is a Kidd barrel with their proprietary chamber.

Re: The 50 yd challenge with a 10/22:
I found the challenge easy with my CZ 455 TH (successful on the second attempt) with mid price ammo. With my Anschutz MPR I was successful on the first attempt (3 of first 5, 5 group targets I shot were all successful) with mid price ammo. With my 10/22 it took about 50 tries, over a 3 year timeframe, with 3 different barrels, and very expensive ammo to finally complete the challenge. YMMV

If indeed you are trying to step it up a notch, buy yourself a Kidd Heavy barrel. They are extremely accurate.
I have done it once, and if I was to customize another 10/22. I would gladly do it again.
 
I would get the match chamber to really make the most of the heavy barrel. The only real drawback is that you won't be able to use ammunition like Stingers, which often don't shoot that well anyway. I had a Green Mountain barrel with a Bentz chamber that worked fine with everything I tried in it.
 
Semi auto's won't handle a true match chamber that is used in bolt actions... but a chamber tighter than a factory barrel can be done which will help with accuracy. I use what is called a .22 Benz reamer for semi auto chambers. Any tighter and the rounds are too hard to chamber with resulting misfires...

I gave up blasting ammo a long time ago, I much prefer the accuracy of a bolt action.
