WELLllllllllll,
I just installed a JARD adjustable single stage trigger in my R 25/AR 10.
The good news is that I DID end up with a nice very light, very crisp trigger, with just a tiny a bit more overtravel than I like. However, I may be able to adjust out that overtravel by playing around a bit more.
BUT,
what should have been a 10 minute job took three hours.
First of all,
the trigger itself was a bit too long to clear the inside of my AR 10 TRIGGER GUARD, so out came my Dremel to grind off the tip, and then some cold blue.
THEN,
All those adjustable set screws are a REAL pain to set just right.
AND THEN,
you must rely on the enclosed loctite to keep those tiny screws from creeping out of proper alignment, while they work inside the moving fire control parts.
I don't think I'd want to rely on this for a serious rifle, but for the one way range, it should be OK.
?Possibly? the thinner/lighter hammer spring may NOT have enough power to reliably ignite my 7.62 NATO HARD primers ....
which is some times a problem with the original R25 trigger springs as well.
Tomorrow I'll test it out at the range and see.
