Matching 1949 Russian SKS Rifles!

All matching?

How can you advertise that when the stocks on the vast majority are replacement laminate stocks... with no serial numbers?

I assume you mean refurb with force matched stocks (if numbered) with all metal matching?

Everyone and their dog assumes that just because numbers are visibly matching it must be original...

Meanwhile they are all ground down, renumbered and refinished refurbs. In all fairness, there aren’t many good sources on SKS rifles, although that is soon to change.

Explain "that is soon to change" please.

Because when we compare the numbers they all match......

Did they change the number 50 years ago? Who can say for 100%, we go be the appearance of what we can say for certain. We take multiple pictures of each gun so that you can get a good idea of what you will be getting.

A few people can tell... hence the ask.

No stock number is not all matching. Laminate stocks are never original to a 49 and very not matching.

All matching non refurb vs all matching forced matched are different... not the same at all.

Yup, sucks thinking you got an all matching original when it's actually a force matched stock that was never issued in that year

From the pictures they look to be nice refurbs, withbforced renumbered stocked and most definitely refurbs in laminate stocks. Still nice rifles, but definitely not non refurb or as issued rifles. They appear to be nicely done refurbs, wether they hav refurb marks or not.........

the aren't

You need to understand that while it has been standard for so many years on CGN, our threads are not intended for the peanut gallery folks.

Do you go into a gun store and look over everything so that you can tell others in the store what items are worth, that you are not interested in? If you did long enough you would find yourself sitting outside with one more place that you are banned from visiting.

If you don't like a product, don't want, can't afford, and just have to tell everyone what you think, the open forums are your place.

Please allow the people who have been interested in these & have purchased these rifles to determine if they they are a value to them. From the sales (not the random comments) they have been accepted very well.
