Thanks cantom. I spent many, many hours carefully cleaning it. Great care was taken not to damage the wood or orange paint when cleaning the take down discs and buttplate. The rest of the metal was cleaned a small bit every day and left to soak in between cleanings. Bronze wool and a brass scraper made from a cartridge case (8mm Mauser in this case since it seemed appropriate
