Matching BCG with Barrel?

Looking for advice...
I'm on my first AR build and I'm wondering if it would be best to get a BCG and barrel from the same manufacturer.
Theoretically, they should all be dimensionally equal, but does any one have experience with matching with the same mfg or cases where a BCG from X didn't work well with a barrel from Y?

Some of the higher end barrel manufactures offer a matched bolt. A lot of people most of the time purchase a bolt from a different company. My advise is to check to headspace once assembled and make sure it's safe to shoot.

Buy from reputable and trusted manufacturers and you should be ok to mix & match. You can confirm your build with some go/no-go gauges but there's probably a high 90s percent chance that it will headspace just fine.

The AR is probably the most standardized small arm out there, there are virtually no cases of headspace issues. Unless you venture into the ####ty-ass rock bottom manufacturers, don't worry about it.
