I collect Obies and have variations from 1934 to 1945...
It's really interesting to see them lined up side by side and see the change in production methods through that time frame, particularly as the effects of the war on their production began to show,
No import marks, old US ones or new ones. I heard that and called PR to confirm that it would not be affected.
Someone else said that it had been pushed back again.
I think my importing days would be over if this was the case. I honestly couldn't buy a unmarked gun in the US and have it suffer that fate. Id have to just collect here, which would take alot longer and be less diverse.
Looking good Andrew, I was waiting to see how it looked when it arrived, you clearly did well!! I like it a lot, a quick browse at the photos and it was clear the rifle is a one looker.
You mauser collectors are making me jealous...CanadianAR, Joe N, JBmauser you guys all have nice collections of multiple K98's, a great accomplishment up here in Canada and there is no doubts about originality. I want to add another matching K98k to my collection but I think you guys already bought all of them?
