The stock on this svwMB is surprisingly well finished. The chatter is pretty light, more like a byf 44 k or i block. There is some as you can see in the one pic but it's pretty fine.
MO probably did rasp the handguards to fit right to the end. I just don't think they finish sanded them very well most of the time as evidenced by the tell tale marks on the svw's I have. I'm not sure how much fitting was needed any way? Maybe most fit pretty darn close with out any extra work?
