The scabbards were numbered to the bayo and rifle, so yes, they all would have had matching scabbards when they left MO. Why mine has a m/m scabbard is any one's guess. Andrew has it in his serial list so maybe the original can be found some day.

Thanks for the explanation, I was just talking to CanadianAR about this. Not the first time I've seen matching bayo with a Port but not scabbard, I don't know why?

I just looked at the byf 44 L block as well - very nice, and pics are coming along great.
