Hi Gents,

After seeing Claven's thread on K98s I figured I'd post a few pics of a rifle that's been in my safe for a while but has never been properly photographed. This one is an all matching Port manufactured in 1941. We see these pop up from time to time but the cupped butt plate variations with the 135 WaA appear to be more prevalent. Do any of you have flat butt plate Heer marked Ports stashed away in the safe?

Comments and opinions are welcome.

Claven I'll add a pic or two from this thread into your main thread.

That's a great set of pics indeed! I can't play anymore but I still enjoy seeing those beauties! Thanks for showing :)

Dam, I want a k98 sooo bad. It's the last gun on my must have list. Time to start putting money away from each cheque. Next year should have enough to buy a all matching excellent condition example. I just hate waiting but I already bought 6 guns this year and promised the wife that was it for this year. Of course if there was a incredible once in a lifetime deal I'd probably cave. Haha

Matching original k98k's as nice as this one are far and few between up here. Be prepared to grab one quickly if it comes up for sale. Looking in the US makes things a little easier but you won't save any money shopping down there. Prices are steadily on the rise. Once in a while a good deal does still come up though. You just have to be really patient and watch carefully.
