They both shoot to the same degree of accuracy out to 300yards (as far as the range goes) which one would you pick to take you to 1000yards when you have the chance? I am just about out of both so I want to buy a bulk order of the one kind and load a bunch.

Thanks

Edit: this is out of a .308 Win

Personally I prefer the 175's. I can push them slower and use less powder doing that.....hoping to extend accurate barrel life (not sure if it really matters or not). Also, I can seat the 175's to fit in my magazine which is a plus. My 155's are too long. It's a very subjective question but in reality you can't go wrong with either. I've shot both out to 1200 yards with similar results. The 155's use less elevation so if your limited with scope adjustment that may be a reason to go with the 155's. Flip a coin I guess. I'm using a 24" 1:10 Krieger barrel.

I have had really good results with the lapua 155gr scenars. 16 inch 4 shot group at 1422 yards. Savage 12F/TR 308, NightForce 5.5-22X56.
Your gun should have a preference for one or the other, I would choose the bullet on the guns preference!
My 2 cents

Palma Match rifles that must use a 155 grain bullet are custom built, heavy barreled, single shot, bolt action, rifles that weight 6.5 kilos max. Some weigh a bit more though.
A regular target rifle will likely shoot the 175's better past 600 yards. 168's out to 600.
"...want to buy a bulk order of the one kind..." Got a load for one or the other? Buy the one you'll use most. And take a big bag of money.

No weight limit anymore on Palma/Target rifles under ICFRA rules. The 156gr max bullet weight is still there. If competition shooting is your goal keeping the bullet weight in line with the target rifle rules will keep you in the F(F) Class while the heavier bullets put you into the open class.
I have shot 155 gr Lapua, Nosler, Sierra and Bergers at 300-1000 yards. The Lapua's and Berger's use about 2 MOA less elevation than the SMK's and Noslers starting at about 800 yards. Until you get back to that distance the elevations are the same across the board. Personally I think Nosler's have given me the best results in the last 3 barrels I have used, but don't tell anyone:D
