Watched the Matrix last night. Good Movie. Classic. Anyways, I noticed in the scene where Neo and Trinity storm the military guarded building (lobby shootout) how fast the soldiers could pump their shotguns. The shotguns in the movie were Franchi SPAS-12's. I just got my Remmy 870 and I found it amazing how fast they were unloading shells. I guess I need practice or is this just the movies? Anyone ever try a Franchi SPAS-12? This is just a fun thread so anything goes:cool:
 
Aren't the SPAS 12's Semi auto with a selector to block the gas ports and use it as a Pump only ?

Canadian Legal Status
The SPAS-12 is one of the shotguns expressly prohibited (by virtue of reference to its design and model name) according to Canadian firearms law (in particular, the Criminal Code Regulations).[1] It is considered a "prohibited weapon", and thus cannot generally be procured or owned legally.

Anyone know if this is true. If so super lame I found this on WIKI.

Sad, but true - if it's fun/cool, it's probably prohibited, or at least restricted...:(

Yes, it's true.

I've met one guy that had his taken from him by the powers that be.

I think there are a few guys on this site that suffered a similar circumstance.

I've never even shot one, but they are supposed to be really good.

A Benelli M4 Super 90 would be interesting to own too.
 
you need to practice in my clubs practical shot gun matchs in 5 shot steel shoot on 12 inch round steel plates at the ontario set disstance of 11yards from high ready thats butt on hip and front of barrel level withyour eye saftey on i can do under 3 seconds with my semi and about 3.14 to 3.2 with my 870 pump the plate are about 2feet apart and staggered usually back and forth . regulation pepper poppers 5 across and 2feet apart can be shot even faster sub 2 second times but not very often the bennillie guys do it more my best with a pump was a2.41 but that was afew years ago before my eye problems. Some of the times at bowling pin shoots in the states are pretty incredible i saw a time of 3.4 secs shot at a8 pin match
pin are shot at 7yards or 21 feet with comped and recoil reduced equiped
shotguns with buckshot.

Some exhibition shooters do amazing things with pumps, like 6 clays in one throw, shooting empties as they are ejected!

search youtube you'll find amazing videos.
