is a mauser 7.65 waffenfabrik mauser a-g oberndorf 3 3/8 " prohibited and is 7.65cal the same as 34 S&W

3 3/8 barrel length is not the same as 4.13 inches so I'm going with yes, it is prohibited. 4.25 inches is the easy figure to remember when discussing restricted vs. prohibited.

As for calibre. the 7.65 could be .32 ACP if the casing is identical. Without seeing a loaded round I couldn't say for sure.

It is prohibited but if it was made before 1946 and is owned by your father he can transfer it to you as a 12(7) handgun.
