Mauser 96

Bear with me guy's I am new to Mil. surplus. I recently aquired a 1915 Carl Gustaf barreled action numbers matching. I am going to use it as a Dear rifle. It is missing a threaded part on the end of the barrel (flash suppressor?) Where would I be able to find one of these? Also how is the front sight removed? Thanks all.

Trade Ex (http://www.tradeexcanada.com/esquif2/index.php)have those flash suppressors and there was one for sale on the equipment exchange.
Tradex also have many sporterized Swedish Mausers for sale that already have been drilled and tapped for scope mounts. I'm hoping that you keep yours in military configuration. I'm a sucker for the Swedes.

The threading is for a Blank Firing Adaptor (BFA), not a flash suppressor. Any flash suppressor for a Swede Mauser is an aftermarket add-on.

As badgerdogs picture shows it can be covered by a thread cover and why would you want ttake the front sight off a 'dear 'rifle?

Well I have no stock for it so I thought making a sporter out of it wouldn't be a bad idea.

He has a valid point. Original value is gone, so the best bet would be to make a fine sporter out of it.

Actually measured from the top open part at the end of the chamber barrel is 24 1/2 in to end of threaded muzzle bore doesn't look like it's seen a round through it.
