mauser 98 in 8mm

hey guys, im looking for opinions on what scope to put on my 8mm...

I used a Bushnell ScopeChief 4X on mine for about 30 years and replaced with a Leupold 1.5X5.
Either glass works well for me but I was afraid that one day the old Bushnell would die just when I needed it..

I agree with what Kevan has typed.
Better to anti up a bit more for a quality scope that can take
a bit more recoil.

Or a Leupold 1-4x if you fancy a variable.

The older Leupold M8 4x has longer tube section and fits wider ring spacings better as shown on the following FN.
