Mauser Action Bolt Bending

Hello

I need a gunsmith that can bend the bolt on the above so I can attach a scope.

Thanks

Roy

Intersurplus sells complete, commercial Mauser 98 bolts with bent handles for $160,-

You could contact them to see if they have a bolt body only with bent handle. That may be the least expensive option...

I've heated and forged Mauser bolt handles in the past and found them short as has been pointed out. Cutting and welding a new bolt handle is the better option.
As for a "new" bolt body, headspace can be an issue.

Yeah, some some fitting may be required.

Gary Flach did one for me, actually he cut the original one and replaced it with a butter knife bolt handle that I asked for! Great work and affordable.

I welded one with a MIG once, I’d recommend to just get anyone skilled with TIG to do it and build your own bolt handle.

I had it laser engraved later.. something to do.

I’ll second the comment on “butterknife” style. It’s worth it if your going that far
