Mauser c96 broomhandle replica in Canada?

Hi guys,
I've been looking into getting a Denix Broomhandle replica (non firing) just to hang on my wall. Love the look of this gun. Problem is, all sites I find don't deliver to Canada...Any idea why? Is this prohibited or something? Any dealers in Canada deal with Denix replicas? Wouldn't mind getting a few other replicas.

Sadly. Due to our insane laws, Replicas are prohibited...

You can have a DEACTIVATED C96 on your wall.... but not a piece of rubber that looks like one....

Dang....1000$ for a wallhanger Mauser is too steep for me....I thought replicas before 1898 were legal...this was created in 1896...Im confused...lol. I know there's something in there about the caliber or if the gun is rimfire or centerfire and of course, the section about this on the RCMP site is currently getting updates...

In the U.S., anything with a receiver date earlier than 1899, I believe, is considered an antique.

Canada is different sadly.
