Hello CGNers
I thinking of selling my Mauser C96 Broomhandle .It is all match handgun , no rust or pitting , internal parts in great condition as bore is bright with strong rifling . It is WWI era .
But there is lots of bluing gone .The question - should I sell it as is or to do re-bluing ? I heard that collectors prefers original "as is " condition and if I do re-bluing it is just going to decrease a value ?
Any advise will help
Thank you in advance

I would agree with that. The general rule of thumb is that anything non-original will decrease the value of a collector piece.

"...sell it as is..." Yep. You do anything to it and you'll half its value. And there aren't any good bridges to jump off when you find out how much money you lost. That pistol is in excellent condition. It's worth a big pile of money. Of course, you'll have to find a buyer who wants one and has the cash.

If it's currently in original condition then leave it as is. These are fantastic pistols and matching untouched pieces are getting harder to find all of the time.
