Mauser identified thanks to Baribal. Part 2 rebuild!

With the incredible amount of work you have done on this build you can't modify or make a new trigger guard to fit the classic Bavarian stock you have been working on? I don't get it.

The only way to use the bavarian stock would have been to change the trigger guard for a m98 large ring.
I didn't want to part this action out as it is numbers matching. I have another project in mind for that stock.

Ardent ,thanks for the source for parts. They do have a lot of stuff.
As for now I would like to get this shooting. I can always change to another stock later.
It was what I had at hand to keep going.

I did some more work today and took 1 step a head and 1 back.I machined the base of the rear scope mount off 0.028".
Now the scope is parallel with action. That turned out good but now the bolt hits the scope due to a measly 28 thousands of an inch!
I might have to find a scope that has a little smaller o.d.

Took 3 shots anyway to at least make sure it works.Case to left is original, 3 to right is after firingforming.

It's been awhile since I did some tweaking on my gun.My computer crashed so no updates for some time.
I would like to thank Rob for posting pic's on his original gun to help me work out some bugs. Thanks to everyone for input on this project.
After a lot of procrastinating I decided since this is not a collectors rifle to put the grinder to work on bolt handle. I shaved off enough to clear my scope.

I polished the handle rather than doing another bluing job.

I have since this picture mounted a svarowski 3-9 variable scope.

This is a group at 100M when fireforming brass.
I need to fire form a few more yet before reloading to AI. I'm happy with it thou.
If anyone has some great recipe for a load, please share.
