Mauser K98 Question

Bent bolt is correct for a K98.
Straight bolt is incorrect for the K98.
I would only buy a straight bolt if the rifle itself was very unique and then I would find a bent bolt for that rifle.

Yes - bottom of the barrel and international supplies are drying up. That is why commercial prices have risen from $400 to $750 in less than 10x years.

RC mausers are mix parts galore. Straight bolt handles are just because during refurbish soviets put what ever parts they had on hand. from vz24 s that they captured or what ever mauser rifles that were made with straight bolt handles. No one cared in 1950s if bolt handle is straight or bent, as long as rifle function properly.

Thanks for all the info gents. As usual great advice/info. I am going to pass on these two rifles as there was nothing particularly special about them except the fact that I hadn't seen one in a while.
