Mauser K98

A lot of the rifles sat in depots after being captured or surrendered. IN some cases they were heaped in piles and left outside for ages before they could be crated up and shipped back to Russia.
Because they were expposed to the elements for long periods, and or in various stages of dissassembly, they were all completely disassembled, cleaned, reblued, and then reassembled before storage.

That's why they're called "refurbished," they went through a professional grade refitting in order to ensure that the stockpiles were guarenteed serviceable.

German K98's used by the Czech's postwar!!

I have had a few post war Czech border patrol rifles that were German made war dated K98's, and they did not punch the German markings on any of them.
Really nice pieces. One of them is a Sniper with a pre-war Kahles.
These Czech issued rifles tend to be in awesome condition compared to the RC's and are becoming the favourites of the reinactors.
Cheers Paul
