Mauser M98-Starting at $15,299.00

They don't make these rifles for the average guy...
But if you have a billion dollars what's $15k...
That would be like me spending less than a penny on a rifle.
They gotta make rifles rich people want as well...

Lol what ? $ 15,000
Did Hitler dust an Elephant with it on Safari prior to politics ? Or did it fire the first shot in some obscure European war no one’s heard about before?
I’ve handled one of his sidekicks rifles though when I picked up my 686 SP recently. Something to be said when you hold that kind of craftsmanship, even if is associated with all that and someone who made some horrible military strategic choices. Below is their description:

Serial number 25840. Made circa 1938-1943. 6,5 x 54 caliber with an 18” barrel. This is an absolutely fantastic gun in excellent condition. This is a gun that belonged to Nazi Leader Herman Goering. Goering was one of the most powerful men in Germany, second only to Adolf Hitler. In addition to many other posts, he also commanded the Luftwaffe. Goering was one of the few high command Nazis captured. He committed suicide by cyanide after his conviction of war crimes. This is an unusual Steyr Mannlicher Schoenauer as it is spectacularly engraved. On the bottom of the trigger guard is Goering Crest with the raised armored forearm holding a ring. The crest was put on guns made for Goering. This gun also has the interesting feature of having a fold out spike on the forward Mannlicher stock on each side. This spike appears to be a feature where the shooter could stabilize the rifle in a tree while on a hunt. This stock also has an adjustable, spring loaded comb so the shooter could either use the iron sights or the scope. Both of these features are seen on other Goering owned rifles. This is a very unique and historic Rifle belonging to one of the most infamous Nazis.

What if it doesnt shoot? Wouldn't that be something.

Years ago in Germany, if you were planing on purchasing a hunting rifle like that, the good stores or factory outlets had a "salesman sample" to try out.

If you' were pretty much convinced and ordered a piece, they would take at least your "measurements" for customizing stock parameters to individual needs/requirements at no extra cost...

This is not an item I would purchase online !
