Mauser MS 350

Found a vintage Weaver k3 for my Mauser MS 350 ,scope has the post and crosshair recticle which I think, kind of goes with
the style of the rifle.Although a bit on the heavy side I plan on sniping some rabbits with it this winter.

nice one , Burris is now selling high steel 1" .22 rings. have to get some for my Mausers. is the heel split off or does it only look that way in the picture?

No the heel is ok just sinking into the couch

do you have the target sights or any of the other accessories that they came with originally?

It has the original sights, the rear sight slides on a groove cut into the barrel.

With sights like that I'd be tempted to throw the scope into a drawer and just use the irons.

That's the reason for the see thru mounts best of both worlds.The scope lines up perfectly for me with the high mounts and the iron sights are easy to use with it as well.

Yeah - high mounts at the ranges you're likely to shoot rabbits will likely result in shooting low. I had a Savage 99 with see-throughs. I used some cast boolits for grouse, and when I shot the first one, at bout 25 ft., it looked like I popped open a feather pillow. The next ones I held over a tad.

this one is actually a heavy barrel target rifle not the sporter.

Doesn't the stock have the Mauser cartoches?
One rimfire I foolishly padded up a mint specimen a few years ago

Yes it does have the stock cartouches.Shows up a lot better in person.
