Mauser Mystery(s)

Hi All.
I'm wondering if any of you versed in the way of Mausers can help me identify this old gal.
She is in 7mm Mauser & visited Bubba. Front sight is way high as she is plowin' dirt at 100 yds.
Also curious if the reduced diameter at the muzzle was original or a bubba touch...

looks like a 1895 Spanish Mauser, and the front sight doesn't belong to it at all.

Agree, however any pics of 1895 Spanish Mausers I can find seem to have some sort of markings on the top of the receiver ring. This one is bare smooth.
Again showing my lack of Mauser knowledge if this is common.

DWM manufactured 1893, probably sold to spain, but maybe impossible to know for sure. they also had customers like the south african republic.

The front sight base and muzzle diameter are original just someone added a sporter sight into the dovetail.

The DWM side marking means she was made during or after 1896.
