Mauser rear sight

Could someone explain how to remove the rear sight with sleeve from a VZ24. I need to take one off a beat up Chinese Mauser to return a favor from a fellow Gun nut. Thanks in advance. kjohn

The sight sleeve is soldered to the barrel. The front sight is also soldered on and will have to be removed first. Once you heat it up enough for the solder to melt you should be able to tap it off with a block of wood or brass punch.
