If you have the chance, look through this book! It's a must for Mauser collectors or anyone that really likes milsurps. It gives a great history of the Mauser brothers, their interactions with Samuel Norris, as well as a plethora of information on the entire line and development of Mauser rifles and pistols up until the end of WWII (the book was printed in 1946). It's well researched and easy to read.

It's available on Amazon, but I got my copy as a PDF and printed it off.
