Just Ordered a Barska 5X20 for my German/Jew k98, also ordered a LSR Sniper mount for it. Anyone have any advice for tap and dye procedures?

So I see you are going to bubba that nice Israeli mauser after all:(
But like i said before while I do not agree with drilling milsurps, its your rifle. All we can do here is try to point you in the right direction so the rifle turns out half decent. A quality LSR is a much better route than some weaver type abortion for this rifle so if you're going to scope it that is a good choice of mount.
But the cheap Barska scope? Get a Kahles ZF95 6X42! That will fit in with the project as it was used by the Israelis on some of their sniper rifles. These are excellent scopes. If you can find an Israeli Nimrod 6X40 that's good too. You don't want to cheap out on the glass as it will never shoot to its full potential with a cheap scope and I doubt you'll be happy with the results. With the ZF on there this could actually be a nice sniper clone.

And to mount that LSR, trust me, take it to a good gun smith!! The Nimrod has a 26mm tube. The ZF95 has a 1" tube. You would need to use the shims that come with the LSR for the ZF and custom shims for the Nimrod. LSR rings are 26.5mm.

Spending all the money on the rifle and topping it with cheap glass bought from leftover funds is a classic mistake.
I have had a few $400-500 rifles that shot extremely well when topped with high end glass and quality mounts.
If that mauser is assembled right and has a nice bore it will shoot real good.

The LSR is the hardest mount to install on a K98 if you want accuracy.
If you have never done it, get a gunsmith, like Jason at Gunco.

It's Tap and Die, not Tap and DYE!

Yep, gave up looking for a Israeli scope and couldn't pay for one even if I did find one, I hope to prove everyone wrong with the accuracy of this scope, but time will tell, glad i took everyones advice on the mount though, will most likely get someone to do it for me, unless that too is too costly, everything comes down to money in the end. But i do intend to use this rifle, , Sure it's a collectors piece to some, but more of a conversation piece to me and hopefully a good shooter too.

I thought you were building a proper sniper clone here Joe.
You can buy a ZF95 new or lightly used for around $700, it will last you the rest of your life, would fit the picture of an Israeli sniper quite well, and the #103/104 reticles are awesome.
I guess the mount is the important part for now, once that's properly installed scopes can always be changed out down the road.
If it were me I would put the ZF on it right from the beginning. Is the LSR from Accumounts?

If you end up having a safety lever clearance problem, pm me, I have a 98k low swing sniper safety sitting in my parts bin somewhere.
Mounting an LSR is gunsmith only territory.
