Looking to ID these two Mauser slings. From what I can tell, the hardware at least on the one is period WW2 German (D&C) but the belt isn't crosshatched as per regulation. The crossed sword ink stamp I thought was Czech but nothing is coming up. Any of you guys have an idea?

Although, the one sling does appear to have a faded stamp consistent with Wehrmacht issued slings shown on Bergflak which I find strange. The obviously later added crossed sword stamp is still bring and clear. You can kind of see it on the top sling, middle picture to the left of the "50"

The Czechs, Norwegians, Israelis, East/West Germans, etc seem to have used whatever was available of old Wehrmacht stock where they could. They weren't too picky when it came to slings, as long as the leather was in good condition and usable. They used leftover NOS Reich made parts and mated them together with new materials. I'm sure you're aware of all this, but I'm sure if you ask a handful of guys, you might get a handful of different answers too.

Nevertheless, any non new made repro K98 sling is still desirable, even if not as "collectable" as a full WW2 German sling IMO.

Cheers!
