Mauser stock inletting ?

Does anybody know if the stock inletting for a mauser 98 is the same as a Parker Hale midland ?

I have put a Mauser action in a Midland stock and other than opening the barrel channel for a heavy barrel, it was virtually no fitting. The Midland version of the PH is a "bastardized" cross between a 98 and a Springfield 03.

The major differences, apart from the barrel dimensions, will be in the trigger mechanism. The PH trigger mechanism is trapped by the rear action screw, on top of the sleeve.
Some adaptations are going to be needed, but the basic inletting is close.
