If you have a donor laminate stock to cut the forward section off that would be the way to go. A lot of guys put a piece of 1/4 inch brass tube in the cleaning rod hole in the stock to line it up with the cleaning rod hole in the forward section. Then drill the stock for a couple hardwood dowels that line up with corresponding holes in the forward section.
