Can anyone give me some info, makers name etc,and a value for this barreled action with bolt Deutsches Sportmodell Mauser trainer?
Are replacement parts available or could K98 parts be used?
It looks neat, but I'm not sure whether to buy if there's too much gunsmithing involved.

While anything is possible, I would suspect that the possibility of getting original parts to restore the rifle would be remote.
Assuming that the bore is in the same fine condition as the rest of the barrelled action, it would be worth stocking up as a rifle. Don't know if you would consider making the missing metal parts and a stock to be too much gunsmithing or not.
It really depends on how much the barrelled action costs, and how much time, effort and expense you are prepared to put into the project.

Just to add to what Tiriaq said, you wouldn't be able to use K98 parts on it. Totally different rifle. Good luck with the project, you might want to try to look on Egun.de (German firearm auction site) for parts.

I bought a stock for my MAS 45 off a guy in the U.S. on
Gunboards there.

Same gun more or less, with a receiver sight instead of the ramp sight, made in France with tooling they took from Germany after the war.

These things were rather surprisingly accurate. I had one, many years ago, used it for a competition rifle and did just fine with it. AND they are a lot of fun.

Congratulations on a lovely specimen. Sure hope you can get her back on the range.

You have nice (scarce) DSM-34. The parts / stocks for these rifles are very hard to find and if you do get luck they are pricey. I have seen the stocks go for 150-250 range. The last set of barrel bands I had went for $50 for the pair.
Always looking to email with fellow collector of Mauser .22 rifles.
