I have an 18.5" Mv 88 5+1. I hate the bead sight. I had a rail installed on the receiver, tried a Lucid HD 7, but I feel it looks out of place on the shotgun, so I'm saving it for a more deserving platform.

I know there are clamp on front sights out there, just wondering if anyone has ever used one. Are they solid and reliable, or crap? Also, seeing as I have a rail on the receiver, is there a rail mounted ghost ring sight on the market?

As always, I'm looking to spend as little as possible.

Which model did you use in particular? I went to their site and there are mant to choose from. Many will not work with my setup i.e. anything built for a vented/ribbed barrel.

I'm looking to get front & rear sights. Ideally, I'd like a typical ghost ring setup, but from what I've been told, I would need to have the front sight soldered on and then have the barrel reblued.

I already have a rail for the rear sight, I just need to find a rail mounted rear sight and a front clamp-on that does the job reliably.
 
Not sure on the model but I got it a Bass Pro shop, I have the smooth barrel as well, most sites seem to be for the vented, but this one was designed for the smooth.
