Maverick 88 Sling options needed, STAT!

Hey guys,

I'm headed up to bear country next week and the rifle I planned to pack for defense has suddenly developed a bad case of the gremlins. So now I've had to fall back on my trusty Maverick 88.

The problem is my Maverick is like it came from the box, mountless, swivelless, alltogether slingless in general. So what I need is a sling and mount combination by Friday. Obviously mail ordering isn't an option so I need to know where in Calgary can I go buy what I need off-the-shelf?

Slings can be had anywhere, but the mounting hardware for a Mav 88 / Mossy 500, say: Russell's? Wholesale? TSE?

Anyone who knows please let me know. I don't want to cradle-carry my shotgun up a mountain ever again.

If you are not picky about looks and want something cheap NOW, take some 1" weabing or some good string and tie it to the grip and between the barrel and magazine, it won't look preaty but it will work 'till you get something better.

Any local Gun smith will do the job likely for cash and have the parts in stock.I had it done when I bought my field combo with slug barrell and the local gunsmith only charged me $15.Done deal.Excellant gun too.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to do some running around this afternoon. Hopefully I can find something that'll work.
