Maverick arms

I have a 12guage maverick 88 security. Was out shooting yesterday and I noticed what seems to be a spring moving around in the action some where when I turn the gun upside down and vise versa. I am thinking it is the spring in the loading tube? Anyone with any ideas...

Most likely the magazine plug bouncing around in the tube. Take the barrel off and shake it untill the wooden dowel comes out. That should solve the rattle. A shotgun pump action only needs the plug for hunting

Exactly what the last guy said. Maverick shotguns just have a wooden dowell for the plug, and it does bounce around in the mag tube quite often. Mine did the same thing.
