Does anyone out there have any information about the gun manufacturer Mavi de Salvinelli. I recently purchased one a few months ago. This is an amazing shooter. It's a .45 cal percission black powder, hawken style. The barrell was made and proofed in Italy, the date stamp on the barrell is a ###. From info on the net about date stamps I figure this gun was made in 1966.
The lastest info I received at a recent gun show, was that maybe this company turned into Pietta out of Italy. Long searches turned up zero info.
Anyone with info about this company would be greatly appreciated.
