Max case length vs Case trim length

So I have just full length re sized 50 6.5X55 mauser casings. In my reloading manual(hornady) it gives me a max case length(2.165") and a case trim length(2.155"). Now most cases after the resizing comes out to about 2.165" should I trim it all the way back to 2.155 or fine to have a case length smaller than 2.165 and bigger than 2.155.

I would trim them all back to minimum spec and measure them over the next 3 or 4 firings. It's most likely you will have to trim them anyways after firing, so just get it over with.:D If the cases get too long they could pinch the bullet and create some high pressures.
 
I usually trim somewhere in between there...If you leave ur cases right at 2.165" you pushin it in my opinion. And your certainly gonna have to trim them everytime. Just my two cents.

I trim my .270 WIN to 2.530" and my max size is 2.540"
 
As soon as one case in a batch reaches maximum length, I trim the whole batch down to the "trim to" length. This gives the maximum number of firings between trimmings and also gives the advantage of having all the cases in one batch the same length.
