Using 225 gr. Accubonds, what would be my maximum charge of IMR4831? And would there be a perceivable difference between CCI250 and Winchester WLRM primers with such a maximum charge?

Maybe. Follow the rule for changing any reloading component.

Maximums will vary with different rifles and barrels. Plus - who cares about maximum? Best accuracy is generally found a notch or two below maximum with non-match barrels and chambers

My experience with the 338WM was that Maximum, is just that, a load that walks the line. Don't even think of starting there.

Thanks for the concerns, but I'm currently using 69 gr. of IMR4831. I purchased the Nosler Guide #5 in Calgary last thursday. Only to find that 2 pages out of the .308 and one page out of the .338 section had been ripped out of it. Not only was it sealed when I got it, leading me to believe that it has been re-sealed after being returned, but it also was the last copy on the shelf. I've used the Nosler partition data to get me to the current load, and was just wondering about the recommended max. load for the Accubond. Never mentioned anything about "starting" at max...

In my 338 i have found that the Max for a partition is the Max for the accubond in 225gr. but you should still back off in you rifle and work up. I use 78gr of H4831 in a custom 338 with the throat opened up so the Max in a factory rifle is 74gr of H4831. I get 2950fps using 78gr H4831 in a 24'' barrel.

My MAX load for the 225gr. AB is 73gr. IMR 4831 with WLR primers @2840/-fps with 24.5"bbl. IMO, after trying IMR4831, RL22, H4831sc, and IMR4350, that 72gr. of IMR 4350 with WLR primers to be the best load (MAX too). The slower powders take up more room reducing velocity, this is a long bullet.

Several actually, none of which list load data for Accubonds because....well none currently exist. Guide #6 will list them, but it hasn't been printed yet.

Thanks for your info John and Spitzer, I did contact both Nosler and Hornady by phone and will use their info. to work up some loads for both the Accubonds and Interbonds.
