“4. Magazines designed for one firearm but used in a different firearm
The maximum permitted capacity of a magazine is determined by the kind of firearm it is designed or manufactured for use in and not the kind of firearm it might actually be used in. As a consequence, the maximum permitted capacity remains the same regardless of which firearm it might be used in.”
I spent plenty of time finding out these kinds of magazines used in a different firearm (uasally,10 round).
Example:
(1)The Marlin model 45 (Camp Carbine) rifle chambered for 45 Auto caliber uses magazines designed for the Colt 1911 handgun.
therefore the seven round and eight round capacities are permitted.
(Why not mention the extended 10 round magazines designed for the Colt 1911 handgun?)
(2) Kel-Tec SU-16 rifle chambered for 5.56/.223 Auto caliber uses 10 round magazines designed for the LAR-15 pistol.
In fact,Ar15 and any 5.56/.223 NATO STANAG compatible rifle can use the STANAG magazines not the rifle.
(3) VZ 58 rifle chambered for 5.56/.223 Auto caliber uses 10 round Magazine designed for the LAR-15 pistol.
In fact ,Some firearms, while not originally manufactured to feed from STANAG magazines, can be converted to use them.
(4)SKS rifle chambered for 7.62×39 Auto caliber uses 10 round Czech Small Arms (CSA) XCR Pistol magazine.
(5) CZ 858 rifle chambered for 7.62×39 Auto caliber uses 10 round Czech Small Arms (CSA) XCR Pistol Magazine.
(6) Kel-Tec Sub 2000 Carbine chambered for 9mm\.40 S&W caliber uses 10 round Magazine designed for the Glock pistol.
(can I use the 10 round magazines designed for Beretta and Smith & Wesson pistol?)
(7) JR(Just Right) Carbine chambered for 9mm\.40 S&W \.45 ACP caliber uses 10 round Magazine designed for the Glock pistol.
(can I use the 10 round magazines designed for M1911 pistol?)
(8) M14S/M305 rifle chambered for 7.62×51mm NATO caliber uses 10 round Magazine designed for the AIA rifle.
Do (3) (4) (5) (8) need a number of modifications to the rifle?legal modifications?
Finally, are there any supplements?(especially, in non restricted rifle)
Someone is too tense!
THANKS!!
