Hello,

My buddy was shooting off some of his newer 9mm ammuntion. I noticed something strange with the case I haven't seen yet:

This seems odd.I don't know why any ammo manufacturer would want to do this. It reduces the case capacity of the already small 9mm. Would be interesting to see what kind of velocities this achieves.

from the internet

These cases feature a .035" thick internal sleeve that serves to both reinforce the case in the head area, and to prevent bullet set-back.

Seemed to work fine in a TNW ASR. As for preventing “bullet setback” it seems like a crummy solution. The cases are actually nickel plated steel. Basically turns your 9mm into a 380.

From my understanding they were designed for competition; specifically shooting 9mm major. The much heavier case walls can produce the pressures necessary to get 160 power factor with less powder and a stronger case. The cases are supposed to be nearly indefinitely reloadable due to their strength but you need to use their specific bullets because of the rim that prevents the bullet from seating too far. The factory loads produce regular safe 9mm pressures and velocities but with less powder.

I found mountains of them at the range last year but haven't seen a single one this year. No idea who was using them.

Works great in my 1911 and my jrc. I fired 1100 rounds nobissues. Shot to same poi as ae 115 at 100 yards. I was warned it wasnt for semi auto pistols when i bought it. But i shoot a norinco so i didnt care
