Date is now set for the next gathering of the WET COAST M14 SUPPORT GROUP.
Place : my place in Surrey, B.C. ***out of towners welcome to crash here if needed.

Date: SATURDAY MAY 24

this will be a general tweak and tune and get to know your rifle event.
Regulars are welcome to show up regardless of the list below.

So as always, this FREE event is open to 12 people. So.... YOU MUST P.M. ME to be confirmed. If you want to bring snacks and refreshments please post here what you will be bringing.

**** if anyone has a SKS front sight adjustment tool...... could you please bring it along.... :D

Good food, great people and excellent information all focused on the Norc M14....I'll be there for sure!
 
this will be the final update for the may 24 m14 support group.
this coming Saturday May 24 , 10:00 a.m. and goes till your wife says you gotta be home :eek: :D
IF YOU ARE NEW to this and are not on the list and want to be you must p.m. me by 10 p.m. tomorrow.
IF YOU ARE a regular to this and have been to the meeting before.... feel free to drop in regardless of the list.
final details/directions will go out to all NEW participants this evening at some point.
To those who have messaged me..... I have been so crazy busy the past 3 or 4 weeks , if i missed or did not respond to your p.m........ :redface: my apologies. If you are new to this and your name's not on the list p.m. me right away.

Missed it this time ....
going to my father in laws birthday party instead.

There will probably be more M-14 group gropes in the future,
but at dadinlaw's age,
he may not have many more birthdays.

Gotta keep those priorities straight,

our main priority is to keep our wives happy,
so they don't divorce us and we have to sell all our guns to pay off the lawyers,

Geebus i must have it good.... my wife let's me host monthly M14 meetings in the living room..... AND threatened to divorce me if i sold the new tactical remington 870 I passed around at the meetin today...... Don't know about the rest of you fellas but married life ain't so bad from where i'm sittin :D


Todays meeting was fun..... a small crowd of 8 gun nutters..... and again a BIG thanx for comin out :wave: to our friends from south of the border.... very cool of ya to visit , yer welcome in my pad anytime ;) Met a few new guys today, worked on some fine m14s rifles, which only needed minor tuning.... the usual stuff.
headspace averages were..... in the common range for current norincos
definite examples og shoddy QC on the flash hiders.... but one came off with little effort..... one would not come off..... and misanthropist just threw his in the chop saw in preperation for another shorty barrel. Only one rifle needed the vice for some minor index adjustment. We tuned oprod travel and piston alignment, conditioned the oprod guide, tuned and shimmed gas systems , did major safety checks, lubrication, headspace and bolt timing check..... all the good stuff :D We had some rifles with some VERY nice rings to them that's for sure.

Rumour of a very large M14 support group barbeque and keg event may be in the cards for early to mid July according to whispers i keep overhearing from my wife....... she likes all you guys for some crazy reason :D

Anyhow... I had fun today and that's what this is all about, meeting good people, havin fun with our toys , eating good BBQ ....... we just might have to do it again next month
