Tonight I was coming home, Just got here. I was on the way home from the wellesly phillipsburg, st.agatha area in southern ont. And I would swear that I just spotted a young black bear. I was driving my normal route home on the back gravel roads with my offroad lights on, Pulled up to the T intersection which was corn stubble and seen a set of eyes out about 400 yrds away. I pulled up my binoculars and I either saw the biggest coon without a tail I've ever seen or a bear. When I stopped it ran quartering away into the bush. It didn't really run it hobbled away. Jeeeezzz I didn't even believe myself at first but why not, Ive heard about sightings. Guess were gonna need the spring bear hunt here too!
Has anyones else seen em down here? Seen lots farther north but Not here.
